What is Screen Exit in SAP ABAP?

Screen Exit is an enhancement technique provided by SAP to add your own fields into specified screens in SAP standard transactions. This can be used when a client needs to maintain some additional information instead of standard information. To implement a Screen Exit additional screens should be provided and additional fields should be added to the relevant database table.
