What is the ABAP Environment?

The ABAP Environment is a new space for ABAP development inside the Cloud Foundry environment. You can develop new cloud applications and create extensions for ABAP-based products such as SAP S/4HANA Cloud using this environment. The ABAP Environment includes ABAP Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and SAP HANA database. The ABAP PaaS�uses HTTP services and a new ABAP RESTful Programming Model, which utilizes Core Data Services and cloud-optimized ABAP language.
