What is the difference between SAP FI and SAP CO?

SAP FI basically refers to financial accounting while SAP CO reflects management accounting. SAP FI�is somewhat country specific in that it is aimed at legal reporting and is the bedrock behind the balance sheet and income statement at the legal unit level. On the other hand, SAP CO manages the internal processing of costs and expenses on an operational level.
